This large, multi-use room had not changed since it was originally built and decorated in 1970. A full renovation was required, including the removal of foil wallpaper, citrus yellow mini blinds and shag carpeting. The redesign included installation of 30' of custom-made wood shutters to manage the western sun. New flooring, lighting, and wall treatments were also required. Consideration was given to creating a versatile living room space and a separate dining area. As part of our re-use philosophy, the clients' Asian furnishings inspired the color scheme with emphasis on warm woods and textural fabrics.
